Greetings, weary cyber-traveller. I'm Marty Norden and I'd like to welcome
you to my home page. Most of the items you'll find here are related to my
work as a Professor of Communication at the
University of Massachusetts Amherst. I have included the most recent
versions of my syllabi, information on books that I've written or edited (such as
Lois Weber:
Interviews, Pop Culture
Matters, and The Cinema of Isolation), my curriculum vitae, a biographic statement,
and my theater resume. I've also provided
connections to UMass Amherst's Interdepartmental Film
Studies Program, Bachelor's Degree
with Individual Concentration Program, DEFA Film Library,
and Interdisciplinary Studies
Institute. In addition, you'll find links to the Amherst Cinema Arts Center, Amherst Media, the Media Education Foundation, the Northampton International Film
Festival, the Northeast Popular Culture
Association (a scholarly organization for which I am past president), and many other professional
and scholarly websites in my "Links-o-Rama" section below, divided into five
admittedly overlapping categories. Enjoy! Again, welcome.
