I am a finishing graduate student at UMass Amherst, expecting PhD this summer. During my PhD, I mainly worked with Prof. Houjun Mo to study galaxy formation and evolution, particularly, how galaxies evolve in dark matter halos and large-scale structures of different properties, using a combination of simulations and models with observations as constraints. I am also collaborating with IllustrisTNG team on a project. Recently I have been studying the gas contents of IGM and CGM using the Sunyaev-Zel'dovich (SZ) effect, using CMB observations, group catalogs, and simulations. My research interest also includes mechanisms of environmental quenching for galaxies, and the link between cosmology and the formation of galaxies, halos or large-scale structures. I am happy to discuss about any of the topics and possible collaborations.
