WEEK 10 Planning and Executing

Notes:

As we continue to talk about college as a system, about the curriculum and education generally, it would be best were we caught up on primary sources and the recent history of American college education. (Better than spouting uninformed opinions!) So here is a general history from the University of Virginia, and from which you can excise the author's opinions. Here is Harvard's extremely influential "Red Book," entitled General Education in a Free Society.

In previous versions of this course, we read William S. Burroughs, Junky. Here is a documentary on Burroughs [William S. Burroughs: the Movie" [UMass only]

Try making something.
