- All papers and assignments are due in my mailbox by 4:00 pm on Friday, May 5. (I have to go to a conference the following week during which all final grades are due to the UMass Administration, so I will not have time to consider late papers.)

FINAL PAPER. 5 to 10 pages. Choose a theme or motif that appears in two or more works. List its salient appearances in those works. Muse on its larger implications for character and plot. Finally and very briefly, suggest its real-world relevance.
