
| Union Square is located in San Francisco and is the heart of the commercial district. Since 1903, it has been a destination point for both tourists and citizens. It has been used for demonstrations as well as a place to stroll around. It is bounded on four sides by shopping centers, hotels and restaurants. From a landscape architect's point of view, the clean lines and security provided for the main space make this case study a valuable one as we look at the design of the Federal Reserve Bank. |
