This series of watercolors, influenced by blue and white Chinese export porcelain, is entitled "Chinoiserie", a term used to describe the artworks created by western artists who were inspired by the strange architecture, costumes, people and vegetation that decorated each work of art that came from China.

Each watercolor in this series contains similar elements: a pagoda, a boat, two birds, a bridge etc., but, when they are rearranged on each piece a new and unique narrative is created.

In Ceramic Language, the color blue is often used to depict imaginary countries and people. At least seven different types of blue are mixed with each other in each watercolor. Depending on how these colors are used, the mood and expression of each piece changes.
