Energy in the Human Body is an exciting new curriculum based on the latest in learning theory. It actively engages students and teachers in the construction of new knowledge through multiple strategies. Welcome to a new way of teaching where you, the teacher, take on the role of facilitator and co-constructor with your students.

Important NOTICE, 10/23/23: Animations, one of the many tools originally on this legacy site, are no longer available since Flash is no longer supported; nor are videos. Other curriculum resources and the main curriculum activities remain intact.

An additional site is available that describes and illustrates general discussion leading techniques for fostering scientific thinking in model-based curricula:

https://www.umass.edu/modelingdiscussions/

It includes many pictorial and video examples from classrooms.
