About SAFI

Thank you for taking the time to learn about the Student Alliance for Israel. Our organization works hard to provide programming about Israel at the University of Massachusetts. With your support we hope to improve the public perspective about Israel through education.

Helping Students Believe in Israel

The Student Alliance for Israel is the premier registered student organization at the University of Massachusetts committed to promoting the belief in and the expression of pro-Israel views on campus.

We provide a great deal of programming for students at the University including cultural events, response to controversial political issues, and enrichment activities that engage students in being Israel-minded individuals throughout their daily lives.

The response to SAFI programs has been significant:

From Humble Roots

Founded as a student group of the University of Massachusetts Hillel in 2000, the Student Alliance for Israel was designed to combat growing anti-Israel sentiment. From its seeds as a small group of committed students who met at the Hillel to work for a cause they knew needed increased representation, SAFI today has become an icon of Israel solidarity.

Students know where to turn, and supporting the state of Israel as a University student has grown in popularity and strength because of SAFI's hard work and tireless efforts.
