A project in education is more than lesson plans organized into a unit in order to teach something. It is an environment, a dwelling place, created by educators for purposeful activities engaged in wholeheartedly. Ideally, a project is a place in which a learner settles and feels at home, engaging one's heart and mind in purposeful learning. It is a place where a world opens to the learner like a precious gift, a place where one becomes spellbound by a horizon of curiosity and new meaning.
