Beaver Pond
Campobello Island, NB, Canada
August, 2001

The setting: There is an international park on the Island that is supported jointly by the United States and Canada, the only such arrangement for the funding of a park. It is a beautiful and peaceful place. Along the dirt road leading to a beach on the eastern side of the Island a beaver created a significant pond. This captures some of the mood and solitude of the area on a cloudy and rather somber mid-afternoon.

Technical detail: TMax 100, 4 x 5, Zone VI Field Camera, Schneider 210 mm lens, f22.
