The setting: The beaches of the north shore of Cape Cod bordering Cape Cod Bay are very desolate and peaceful, but inviting, in the late fall. The north shore has a very gentle slope to the seabed and large expanses are exposed at low tide. This image is unusual for Cape Cod because most of the beaches are sandy and rocks such as these are not common.
Technical detail: TMax 100, 4x5, Zone VI Field Camera, Schneider 210 mm lens, f22.
