Publishers Weekly is the 'trade' journal of publishing. Most publishers, editors and literary agents have subscriptions.

The online version of any given issue includes interviews with authors, publishing industry news, bestseller lists, and early reviews of adult and children's books.

It allows searches for the full text of today's news as well as articles dating back more than twenty years.

The online electonic bookstore. It is a commercial site; nonetheless, the page devoted to any given book features a wealth of information about that book--publishing history, editorial reviews and, in some cases, interviews with the author.

New York Times Book Review
Arguably the most prestigious book review for commercial authors, its bestseller list is divided into fiction, nonfiction and children's books. The site may require you to register a subscriber; there is no charge.
