Optional Honors Section

 

The honors section is an optional one-credit addition to the course for students who are especially interested in the course material and who are comfortable with basic algebra and geometry. It consists of an additional scheduled discussion session for one hour per week (Mondays 4-5pm) during which selected topics and problems will be investigated, usually at a slightly advanced level. General topics will include problems in geometrical optics, wave optics, light in nature, visual perception, and color models.

Students will be required to complete worksheets during the course of the meetings, but there will be no homework associated with this section.

Meetings take place Mondays 4-5pm in Lederle Graduate Research Tower (LGRT) Room 1334.
