Rationale

Girls sometimes have self-esteem problems. The Ms. Foundation addressed this with their idea of "Take Our Daughters to Work Day". This day gave the girls a forum to see what their potential is, without the social pressures of having boys shake their confidence. Also, girls can express their opinions and might be freer to speak if they do not have boys present to hamper their comfort level. This enables a free and open forum for expression. This type of pressure is eliminated with a group of 10 girls and 10 mothers. (This year the Ms. Foundation caved in to public pressure and they have included boys in the program. It is now entitled, "Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day".)
