Amity's wishlist *...............

Only material goods are listed
(I can't find urls for health, happiness and inner peace, etc.)

My Amazon wish list is here.

Note that I will sometimes put things up that I am just toying with, and also reminders to myself for presents for other people (especially Owen).

Technology

The nifty lighting things like the white candelas or the blue/green candeloos -- those are so cool. I covet them. We can't have candles with all the clutter, and the pets, and Owen. But these things are so nifty.

A new Palm Pilot? No, I'm actually very happy with Scott's hand me down

A digital video camera? (but wait, we need to use the video recorder we have more!)

A new laptop? Software? A wireless system at home?

DVDs

Star Trek, The Next Generation: Seasons 2, 3, and 4

The Star Trek movies on CD: Original 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6

STNG movies: 7, 8, 9 and 10(?) I've lost count

Pretty happy to have any of the hokey 1950's science fiction or Japanese monster movies
(1950's Giant Insect movies are especially gratifying)

Holiday with Katharine Hepburn and Cary Grant. I know, it's not out on DVD. Or VHS easily.

Enchanted April. Also not available yet.

Sense and Sensibility, Pride and Prejudice

A Room with a View

Other old movies (I have very few on DVD):
Desk Set, African Queen, Casablanca, Maltese Falcon, The Big Sleep, Laura

Books

Oh, so many books I'd like to read, so little time. I already have a stack of books waiting.

I'll buy the new George R.R. Martin when it's finished (Fire & Ice series).
And anything by Robin Hobb, I think.

Lots of things on Child Development

Music

The new stuff from Annie Lennox, Tori Amos, Sheryl Crow, Sarah McLaughlin
The soundtrack from Kate and Leopold, Holes, Lilo and Stitch
The Elliot Smith album (XO?) with the song "Amity" on it
Ethnic/world music

Jewelry

I'm getting harder to buy for, I admit. I have a dearth of posts and things made of gold or gemstones. The museum of jewelry in San Francisco has some nice pieces. As do other museum catalogs, although large and heavy earrings are tough. I like titanium earrings, gold, swirls, dangles.

I would love jewelry that looks like plant stuff, twings, and small leaves and such.

Furniture

A new couch. A comfy, adult chair. A dining room table. A house to put them in!

Misc

A room for a child or children, furnished in my fantasy, Pottery Barn mind's eye.

A spending spree at Hold Everything, or The Container Store. Or Martha Stewart. I do love her leaf paper cutters/stamp things.

* This list has been created for my nearest in dearest who are looking for insight into my materialistic nature, or who are flailing at birthday time. And most especially for Scott, who once mentioned that advice would be nice.
