Ecce Romani Teachers' Corner

Ecce Romani Teachers' Corner I have edited and distributed fall and spring issues of the Longman Latin Newsletter and then the Ecce Romani Newsletter since spring 1993. The spring 2001 issue was the final issue of this newsletter; it is being discontinued in print form. Back issues are available, please see the Ecce Romani Materials listings below.

Beginning in September 2001, I will be posting material for Ecce Romani teachers on my web site: http://www-unix.oit.umass.edu/~glawall/ecceteach.html. Click on Ecce Romani Teachers' Corner.

With this announcement I am seeking material from teachers for the Ecce Romani Teachers' Corner. I am seeking the same kinds of material as appeared in the Ecce Romani Newsletter: lesson plans, teaching tips, pedagogical strategies, exercises, work sheets, sample quizzes and exams, projects, reviews of books, videos, and computer programs of use to Ecce teachers, and any other types of material that would help Ecce teachers.

All material must be submitted on white 8 1/2 x 11 inch paper with normal margins (1 inch at top and bottom and 1.25 inches at either side) in camera-ready form. It will then be scanned into my web site as pdf files that can be read by teachers on my web site and that they can print out for their use. Submissions should be sent through the US mails to Gilbert Lawall (address below). They will be reviewed for suitability and accuracy. When changes are necessary, submissions will be returned to the author for revision. Submissions must contain no copyrighted material, with the exception of material in the Ecce Romani textbook series, as necessary. Once posted on my web site, submissions will be available for use by anyone at no charge.

So, please submit materials of yours that you would like to share with other Ecce teachers. It is my hope that this web-based Ecce Romani Teachers' Corner will be even more successful and useful than the print-form newsletter was for so many years.

Note: Adobe Acrobat Reader is required to read these files; a free copy can be downloaded from the Adobe Acrobat Reader download page. Please be patient: Some of these files are fairly large and may take several minutes to download - because this site resides on a major university's server, download times will be quicker when there will be fewer users on the system (such as early morning).
