1. Click on Links to get to the Links page. Click on the Massachusetts Department of Economic Development button, which takes you to their site.

2. Under Local Data, click on municipal profiles.

3. Find the town name in the alphabetical index and click on it.

4. Choose the category of information you want, or just scroll down the file.

5. You can download or print out anything you see using your browser functions and compile a report or even make a web page report. For an example click on OUR HOMETOWN.

 

Examples of things you can find out about your town:

* who your state representative is

* how much was spent per pupil in schools

* the tax rate on residential property

* the largest employers

* percentage of the population living in poverty
