Social Security, October 20

On the Social Security system, and its lack of support for parental labor.
Two comments in favor of more public support for parents:
"I believe that childbearing should be rewarded. They pay taxes to educate us so we can grow up and make money. They take care of us, so we take care of them. "
"The Social Security system definitely needs to be reformed. There needs to be more consideration for families such as mine that are large, with single parents. It is fair that parents who work hard to provide the workers of the next generation with good lives should lose out in the end?"

Two comments against more public support for parents:
"Why should people get more money because they have kids. This would almost be like you were handing your kids over to someone in exchange for a few dollars."
"I think we should do away with the whole system and let everyone fend for themselves."
