This web-site has been designed to maximize the use of the textbook "Living with the Earth". This is a dynamic site and will continue to evolve as new information becomes available, and as new technologies emerge. It serves as a STUDENT STUDY GUIDE and AN INSTRUCTORS GUIDE! It's purpose is to supplement the text by offering useful study and research tools for you. LOOK below for a detailed description of the site. Because you have access to this site, your textbook won't become outdated, as the very latest information will always be available.This initial effort is modest in scope, but eventually, I will incorporate audio, video clips, and other exciting elements that will make this a fun center for instruction in environmental health. The material in this site is used by my class at the University. They really like the book study guide since it represents the detailed notes for the book along with all of the author-created graphics, most of which are in color. You may print out the notes, and the graphics but they are not for distribution, resale, or reuse in any electronic or print media. This is all copyrighted material belonging to CRC/Lewis publishers. So have fun, and enjoy. Read below to find out what other useful features are here. You may have some ideas for really useful additions to this site. This section is divided into 14 chapters just as the book. Each chapter in this section contains detailed notes for that chapter that may be printed out as a useful study guide. Additionally, there are highlighted references to figures and tables throughout the text of the class notes that you may click on with the mouse pointer and bring those figures and tables to your screen. These illustrations are the same as in your book, but most are in color. These may also be printed out, but they are all copyrighted and may not be distributed by you through any media.

Each chapter heading is followed by several web-links that will provide useful and on-going information for that chapter. Most links are maintained by reputable government, academic, or private professional groups. Do you know of web-links that would be useful here? There's a lot more to this section than just ordering the book. This is a direct link to CRC/Lewis publishers. Included in this area are many related publications that you may find of interest.

The web can be a rich source of information. I have some useful sites that you might want to try when looking for environmental information. Some of the sites are quite specifically dedicated to environmental issues. Other sites are more general. Try them out. You will find your own favorites.

I have listed the correct answers and the page numbers in the text where the answers may be found. I put the answers in a separate location so you can check yourself first before looking!
