Spring 2021
- Physics 192M: Introduction to Measurement using the Arduino.
I created this 1-credit course for students with no prior experience in programming or data acquisition. The course takes students through some basic steps and mini-projects. During the semester, each students frames their own science question, then designs the detection hardward to collect data and answer the question. Though often viewed as a toy or for robotics (and they are fun!), Arduinos are a great tool for collecting data for science. Here is a syllabus.
- Physics 498G: Physics GRE prep workshop (co-taught with with Narayanan Menon).
This 1-credit course is recommended for physics majhors who are considering PhD programs and who want to prepare for the physics GRE exam.

- Physics 192M: Introduction to Measurement using the Arduino.
- Physics 498G: Physics GRE prep workshop (co-taught with with Narayanan Menon).
Fall 2019
- Physics 181 Introductory mechanics for physics and astronomy majors.
- Physics 185 (Physics Freshman Colloquium, with Kastor).
- A 1-credit course on introductory fluid mechanics.
Fluid mechanics is an elegant and useful topic that is rarely offered to undergraduate physics majors in the U.S. This 1-credit course gives an overview, briefly covering elements of fluid statics and then moving to the Navier-Stokes equation. Much of our focus is on the low-Re limit.
