| 1926 | - | Midwestern champion Oklahoma comes east and loses to Umass. | |

| 1959 | - | Faculty Sponsors Jay Savereld and Clarence Angell reinstitute debate at a high level of activity within the Department of Speech. | |
| 1965 | - | UMass became affiliated with Delta Sigma Rho-Tau Kappa Alpha, the national honorary fraternity for debate. | |
| 1966 | - | Ronald J. Matlon appointed Director. Public debate program established. | |

| 1970 | - | Debate Union Alumni Association formed. First televised debate by UMass students. Appeared before 25,000 people in public debates. | |

| 2003 | Attended tournaments in Virginia and West Point. Sasha Horwitz and Alex Ambroz, debating at the USMA became the first two team members to qualify for break rounds. | ||

Western Connecticut at the CEDA East Regional Championship hosted by Marist
