Importance of Exchangeability in Simple Mixed Models

Introduction

Background and Literature Review of Exchangeability will be in the introduction part.

Topics

Three aspects of exchangeability will be discussed:
1.) Exchangeability, partial exchangeability and its' relation to Fisher's "population" and  "subpopulation".
2.) Importance of exchangeability in Frequentist view and Bayesian view.
   3.) Exchangeability in Simpson's Paradox.

Reference

All the references in this study will be listed. A link to Lindley and Novick's paper "The role of exchangeability in statistical analysis" will be given.

Appendix

Some additional information and mathematical theorems or formulas used in this study, such as Bayes theorem will be put in this part.
