The Substance Use Fact book is a compilation of data
portraying adolescent substance use in the past several years
presented as graphs and charts representing specific use trends
within this population. The charts summarize:

The MTF study is an annual survey conducted by the University of Michigan's Survey Research Center since 1975. It reaches approximately 51,000 eighth, tenth, and twelfth grade students from over 420 randomly-selected schools nationally. The Hampshire County Youth and Substance Abuse survey was conducted in 1992 and 1995 by the Hampshire Alcohol/Drug Abuse Prevention Partnership (HADAPP) and the Donahue Institute. It represents approximately 1,145 youth from 13 - 18 years of age. The Adolescent Substance Use in Massachusetts survey was conducted by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health in cooperation with the Massachusetts Department of Education. The survey evaluated 6,844 students from 171 schools in 90 communities in Massachusetts, grades 6 - 12. This data will soon be available for downloading in a PDF format.
