Amherst Community Partnership

The Amherst Community Partnership formed following funding through the U.S. Department of Justice grant developed in response to concerns regarding adolescent substance use and abuse in Amherst Regional High School. This group includes representatives from the community, school (administration, teachers, and students), the Amherst Police Department, the University of Massachusetts and the Amherst Town staff. The charge of this partnership is to develop and implement a survey to evaluate baseline drug use data, participate in a workshop to enhance problems solving and identification skills, and work towards the creation of solution(s) effecting in reducing or eliminating the problems identified within the evaluation.
