Grading:
Grading in the course will be based on classroom and group participation, assignments, project, and a final exam. The weighting of these components is as follows:
Weighting of Grading Components
Homework Policy: Assignments will be due in class on the assigned date, usually at the next class period. As a general rule, late assignments will receive a score of 0, and not be accepted. Joint collaborative work is encouraged, but unless specially noted, completed assignments should involve mostly independent work. If assignments are suspected to have been copied, a score of 0 will be given to all apparent "copied" assignments. When in doubt about using others work, ask for permission, and cite the work copied.
Other Procedures: All graded assignments not picked up in class may be obtained from the slot for graded homework for this section in the box in the hall on the fourth floor of Arnold house (next to Arnold 407). Copies of handouts and assignments not picked up in class may also be obtained from the same box.
Computer Manual Access: Computer manuals are available in Arnold 413, but may not leave the room. An online reference manual at UMass for SAS 7.0 is on the WEB. at:
