Practical Data Management and Statistical Computing (BioEp691F)(Fall, 2003) This course presents basic data management principals and practice, with the objective of developing a working knowledge of micro computer software to use for managing and describing data in a reseach environment. The course is micro-computer based, making use of Windows 95/NT compatible micro computers. Software used in the course includes SAS 8.2, Dreamweaver 4.0, EPINFO 2000, MS -Word or WordPerfect, Adobe Acrobat 4.0, EndNotes 3.0, MathType 4.0, Visio Express 5.0 (Prof), and DBMS Copy 6.0. The course is recommended for first year masters and doctoral students who will participate in/or conduct, collect, and manage data with the ultimate goal of summarization and analysis.
