Data Management and Statistical Computing
Announcements (last update: 09 NOV 2012) Course Summary This course presents basic data management principles and practice with the objective of developing a working knowledge of the use of micro computer software for managing, describing and displaying data in a research environment. The course is micro computer based, making use of Windows XP or later compatible micro computers. Software used in the course includes SAS 9.3, MS Excel, MS Access, MS Word, Adobe Acrobat, DBMS Copy, and others. The course is recommended for first year masters and doctoral students who will participate in or conduct research involving the collection and management of data with the ultimate goal of summarization and analysis. |
