A visit from Katie McCollum, Section 96 chair; Kimberly Usselman, Section 96 Vice-chair; and Melissa Mangold, our new liaison.
PRESIDENT
Don’t lose the key please (to the office). When you take it out put it right back in so it won’t get lost. (Code 7574)
Conclave- Booking rooms this week- talk to Tom. Pledges are welcome!!
Bylaws committee we need for this semester. (4-5 people) You do not need to be an expert in order to be on this.
Katie’s Visit to talk about our administrative Review:
What we need to be doing this year towards it:
· By-Laws Committee, there is a bylaws team to look over them and send them back so it can fixed before the spring term
· Hazing awareness during the semester- ALL the brothers and pledges need to go to this.
· All membership things need to be run by Katie for approval
· Once approved for membership they cannot be changed
· Pledge educator will check in three times during the semester about Pledges
· APO Impact- for membership, which is all online which is for e-board and any members who want to do it. Can be done on your own time. If you are interested in an executive position this is good to do.
· CAPS program- keep Katie posted on the goals and schedule it again for Spring Cabin.
Our New Liaison- Melissa Mangold- Welcome!!!
- A liaison attends meetings once a month and is a resource to us if we need.
Thank our advisors and liaisons because they are volunteering their time for us.
If you are worried about other chapters let someone like Katie know.

Please make sure to sign the attendence in order to stay active (need to be at every 3rd meeting to be active)
TREASURER
Dues for brothers are due today so please pay $60 (Active Brothers) to Tom or Sakara as soon as you can.
Pledge dues are $70 due by 10/12/09 to Tom or Sakara. If you have any trouble paying this by that date talk with either Tom or Sakara. (Checks can be made out to Alpha Phi Omega). Please make sure you put either checks or money into an envelope with your name on it.
OLD BUSINESS
Sara Linden’s Road Race Oct 4th in Natick- Pledges are welcome to come! Probably leaving from Pledge retreat. Need a house to host it Saturday night (Oct 3). slinden@student.umass.edu if you are interested in going. It’s part of the Doug Flutie Foundation.
Enchanted Forest- Jessica. A sign up sheet is in the office! Oct 22 is pumpkin carving and Oct 23-24 at night is supervising games and activities and lead groups along the trail. It’s at the Hitchcock Center in Amherst.
Into Books- Jeannie is Chairing. Paired up with a pen pal and reading 5 books to be a role model and talk to your pen-pal about the books. You can do this on your own time. (It’s full service hours)
NEW BUSINESS
Mia- presents a new service project. Raise of Hope walk in Springfield. Raise money and get T-shirts. Oct 25 is the walk 9am-until done walking. Pick either Springfield or Greenfield on that.
MBU is Saturday March 6 and Saturday April 3
Conclave for the Spring March 26-28 at UNH
Alexis- did Emily’s mom accept her nomination as our girl-scout liaison- She said probably
Vote to change October 11th meeting to October 12th due to Columbus Day weekend.
The meeting for that weekend is now on October 12th.
There will not be a meeting next Sunday (10/4/09) since it will be at pledge retreat.
SAA (Sergeant at arms)- we need one- Tricia and Michele are interested in being SAA
We will vote on Oct 3rd at Pledge Retreat
Regionals are Dec 28-30 in NJ to think ahead
