Minutes: 4/26/09
PRESIDENT
Any of your possessions from either Boston Marathon or Relay for Life that you
didn’t get back yet are in the closet in the office. Feel free to grab them at
your convenience.
Since we are a brotherhood, it is important to treat ALL BROTHERS fairly and
with respect, as if they are part of your family (we are a brotherhood after
all).
SVP
“Loaves for Love” is this Thursday, April 30th at 8:00 p.m. at the Chabad House
is Southwest. If you’re interested and didn’t sign up at the meeting, contact
Jacob ASAP, as he needs a head count to know how much dough to have prepared.
Fil-a-bus will occur during Finals week(s). Elizabeth will send out a form for
days of your availability to volunteer.
Emily has started to receive donations for her washcloth project. It is likely
that we will continue to collect donations throughout the remainder of the
semester and over the summer, and fully begin assembling and distributing the
kits upon commencing the Fall 2009 semester. There will be a thank-you card in
the office this week; please you’re your appreciation to those organizations
that have already donated supplies by signing the card.
ALL BROTHERS MUST have their twenty (20) hours of service completed by Saturday,
May 2nd (at Cabin).

Pledges’ books are now handed in to Erin. Congrats to you all for your hard work
this semester! However, just because you are done with your requirements and
your books are done, DOES NOT mean you should stop attending events. THE
SERVICE DOES NOT STOP!!
Cabin will start Friday night; let Erin know what day (Friday/Saturday) you plan
on showing up. All should be there by 9:30 a.m. on Saturday to begin our service
project for the day.

Jill’s wind ensemble is this Tuesday, April 28th from 8:00-9:30 at the concert
hall at the FAC. Talk to Jill for details.
After you go to the Chabad House on Thursday to bake Challah, you can head down
to the Southwest Beach for a 10:00 p.m. showing of Animal House, as part of
Southwest week. It is free.
May 9th is Alumni Day
There will be a service project on campus from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Then in
the afternoon, we will have a fellowship at Groff Park.
See Elizabeth if you are interested in chairing banquet for next semester (Fall
2009)

TREASURER
Banquet is on Saturday, May 9th at Monkey Bar/Bistro 63. The cost is $26 for all
active/pledge and $30 for alumni. All monies are due to Tom/his mailbox by
12:00 p.m. on Friday, May 1st. I sent around a sheet at the meeting with your
requested meal choice, all seemed to be correct. If you’d like to change your
meal, you have until Thursday, April 30th at 12:00 p.m. to E-MAIL me your
change. All decisions will be final after this point.
OLD BUSINESS
All nominations for awards are due by 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday. There is an
envelope in one of the mailboxes in the upper right row in the office that you
can put your nominations in. There are no official forms, due to our printer,
so please include the following on your choice of paper: Your name, the name of
the person you are nominating, the award you are nominating the person for, and
the reason you are nominating the person. Reasons should be more than “this
person is awesome and does a lot of service” Anyone, (this includes pledges) can
nominate anyone for an award. Please respect the honor system, and your fellow
brothers/pledges, and don’t look at other nominations in the envelope.

NEW BUSINESS
Dan Lachar is here! He congratulates everyone for their great job at relay.
Alumni relations is something that needs to be fully utilized.
Rotoract club is looking for new members; talk to Sara for details.
ANNOUNCEMENTS
Congratulations to Jacob for his successful play this weekend! It was really
well done.
Molly Coller presented her creative pledge point at the meeting.
