Minutes: 2/18/08

Alpha Phi Omega Meeting 2/18/08
Attendance: Sam Peetros, Alana, Shawn, Rachel, Brendan, Eric, Ali, Erin Bailey,
Kelsey Robane (P), Lauren Barry (P), Abbey Mathews (P), Steve, Jeremy, Ian
Haskins, Jillian, Tricia, Sam Perry, Rebecca, Renee, Daria, Kate, Jacob, Molly,

SVP:

We now have a service log in the office. Brothers, please write your service
hours in it. 20 Hours are required for the semester. 10 hours are required by
March 25 or you will be an associate brother. (In which case you will need to
write a letter to e-board explaining why you have not done your hours).

Frank’s Troop – Every Wednesday 700-830pm
St. Johns Episcopal Church, Rt. 9 in Northampton
Shawn will be in the office at 630 to give rides.

Prison Book Project Every Sunday 1-4
We put together packages for Prisoners in Texas and New England with books that
have been donated.

Security- Event Fri Feb 29th 9pm - 2am
Sam Perry will be meeting with the group for final details.

March 6 – Up till Dawn
We will be mailing letters to St. Jude’s children’s hospital for donations.

March 8 and 29 – Merit Badge University 800am – 230pm (Registration starts at
830)
Teach merit badges to Boy Scouts for the local council and others.
We still need teachers… Contact Tricia. Check your mailboxes for the Merit badge
books. They will be distributed sometime this week.

April 12 – Alpha Phi Omega’s 5K Road Race

Fri-Sat April 18-19 – Relay for Life

Pledges and Pledge Trainers go up Friday night
Brothers go up Saturday morning about 9 or 10 for the service project.

If you want to be a big, or have signed up and no longer want to be a big let
Sam T. know ASAP.
Do you have dietary restrictions for pledge retreat or are interested in a
different meal? Let Sam T. know.

house)
Starts at 7pm. Rides available from office at 630. Not a lot of parking space.

Vagina Monologues- 2/22 730pm $5

May 10 – Banquet
It will be at the Marriott on Rout 9.
Cocktail hour from 5-6
Dinner at 6.

Founder’s day will be the afternoon of May 10.

Blue and Gold Competition
Two teams will be determined. GET EXCITED!

May 2-4 – Cabin

Broomball- Play with brooms on ice with sneakers. TBA.

I will be going to look at getting a couch on Wed at 8am. If anyone is
interested in keeping me company, let me know.

Every time and every day you search for something, as long as you select APO as
your group, we will receive one penny. APO will also receive a percentage for
every time you purchase something from the goodshop.com mall. However, please
use this website correctly. There is a disclaimer that any fraudulent usage or
false searching will lead to APO loosing the opportunity to be registered for
this website.

National Convention – Dec 27-30, 2008
We are running the work shops committee for Nationals
Hotel $104 per night, per room. (2 queen size beds)

Website is almost up and running.
If anyone is running a service project, give Eric some info about it so he can
put it on the website.

Prettiest smile on campus? Possible fundraising.

There is now a Suggestion box in the office. Please feel free to put any
suggestions in the box. Make sure they are appropriate. They will be looked at,
at each e-board meeting.

Announcements:
Soup Kitchens in Amherst and Northampton? Anyone interested in working at them?

Study Hours? Talk to Brendan. The meeting room will be reserved after the
meetings to study.

Would anyone like to train for the Boston Marathon? Contact Shawn.
