Alpha Phi Omega Meeting 2/3/08
Attendance: Sam T. Rachel, Alana, Steve, Sam Peetros, Brendan, Ali, Tricia,
Molly, Erin B., Jeremy, Yukeshan, Renee, Gina, Ryan, Kate, Daria, Erin F.,
Heather, Diana, Jillian, Sam Perry

SVP:
Sat Feb 9 – Winterfest 12pm-3pm
Needed for miscellaneous jobs, directing traffic, etc.
Will be able to experience the activities for free after duties are complete.
Also, If anyone
is available Thurs around 10am, help would be appreciated for setup as well.
Cherry Hill Golf Course, Rt. 63 North Amherst

March 8 and 29 – Merit Badge University
Teach merit badges to Boy Scouts for the local council and others. The list of
badges will be announced soon.

Fri-Sat April 18-19 – Relay for Life

Thurs Apr 24 – WGBY Wine and Dine Auction 9-1130
Need to answer phones, run bids and record on whiteboard

Thurs May 1 –Locks for Love Hair Drive
Jillian will be putting up flyers. Any help is appreciated.

Running a 5K road race on April 12th. A committee is needed to help with
planning and logistics. Let Shawn know if you are interested.

Special Olympics Sat’s 10-12 at Northampton Bowl

Frank’s Troop – Every Wednesday 700-830pm
St. Johns Episcopal Church, Rt. 9 in Northampton
Shawn will be in the office at 630 to give rides.

Prison Book Project Every Sunday 1-4
We put together packages for Prisoners in Texas and New England with books that
have been donated.

Inductions are 2/12 and 2/13 at 7pm in the Office
First Pledge Meeting is 2/18 at 6pm
Brothers, try to be there at 630 to meet the pledges and play speed dating!

Rush Shirts are available if you haven’t already gotten one.

FVP:
Tues Feb 5 after the Info session we will be going to Bart’s. Please come to the
office around 7.

Mon 2/11 – Possible event. So people interested in pledging have one more thing
to come to
before inductions.

Keep the office clean, please!

I will be going to look at getting a couch on Wed at 8am. If anyone is
interested in keeping me company, let me know.

Treasurer:
Steve is stepping down.
If you would like to pay dues, please give them to Alana. Yukeshan will be able
to take them later in the week.

National Convention – Dec 27-30, 2008
We are running the work shops committee for Nationals
2/16 – National Planning Committee. If you are interested in helping out contact
Heather.

Joanna will be driving down to UCONN on Feb 9 for the APO Leads courses,
Leadership Seminars. If you are interested she still has 1 or 2 seats open.

New Business:
Jessica says HI! And hopes everyone is doing well.

Brendan is interested in creating study nights. Let him know if you are
interested as well.

We got an email from Nationals about goodsearch.com.
Every time and every day you search for something, as long as you select APO as
your group, we will receive one penny. APO will also receive a percentage for
every time you purchase something from the goodshop.com mall. However, please
use this website correctly. There is a disclaimer that any fraudulent usage or
false searching will lead to APO loosing the opportunity to be registered for
this website.

We will be taking Nominations for Pledge Class Namesake. Think about who you may
want to nominate.

The meeting on Feb 17th at 7pm has been move to Feb 18th at 7pm (Pledges at
6pm).

Announcements:
We might be implementing a required gas fee to those who are getting rides from
brothers this semester. More on this later.

Wed 2/6 at Hillel House there will be a Soup and Soul/Talent contest.

Sun 2/10 – Concert Hadag Nachash at 9pm at Pearl Street, Noho
$10. Would anyone be interested in carpooling?
