When it comes to partnership-building, CIRCLE practices what it preaches. A growing number of key collaborations within the UMass system is expanding CIRCLE's influence on campus, and publicizing CIRCLE's collective leadership philosophy.
Here is a sampling of our many connections:
· programs with the New World Theater to encourage the creativity of
newcomer youth
· a health and nutrition project with Extension System's EFNEP
· a project to build interethnic connections with Extension's 4-H program
· a project investigating newcomer-friendly teaching approaches for public
schools with the Center for Policy Studies
· informal outreach endeavors to faculty of color active in community-based
activities.
