Web safe color wheel | |
Select a gray level below to display the Web safe colors associated with that value. As the value gets lighter, there are fewer colors.
These 216 colors are considered to be "Web-safe" because they do not dither (appear as patterns of dots) when viewed on computers with only 256 color displays (8 bit). NOTE: For space reasons, the typical six digit HTML color code representing levels of Red, Green and Blue (e.g. 336699) has been simplified to a three digit code (e.g. 369). These three digit codes can be used in CSS definitions, but must be translated into six digit codes when used in standard HTML. |
