A Strange New Quantum State of Matter: Spin Liquids
Quantum liquids moving to a higher dimension
About Me
In 2011 I joined the Physics Department of the University of Massachusetts at Amherst as a postdoctoral fellow in Egor Babaev's group. I graduated from the University of California, Davis with a Ph.D. in theoretical condensed matter physics in 2009, specializing in strongly correlated electronic systems and computational physics, particularly quantum Monte Carlo. Afterwards, I held a joint appointment as a postdoctoral scholar at Georgetown University and the Joint Quantum Institute (University of Maryland), working with Marcos Rigol and Victor Galitski, respectively. On this page you will find information about my research (which has focused on topics such as quantum magnetism, ultracold atomic gases, topological insulators, and quantum spin liquids), the courses I taught while at UC Davis, and some notes from the various courses taken throughout my graduate career.
