Syllabus

*Important*
  • In this course there is a lab session which is not described in the official course discription. The purpose of the session is to show you how to use the equipment or software programs needed to conduct the experiments in the course. In order for the session to be effective we restrict the number of people in a session to five. Consequently, we have several lab sessions in different time slots in at least one of which you must attend. We talk about the time slots on the first day.
  • We will use the software package called PRAAT in analyzing the results of many of the experiments you will run in this course. This software is free and runs on Windows and Macs. You download the software from here.Make sure that you install it in the computer you will work with in the course.
