About Me

I am a  PhD student at the University of Massachusetts-Amherst, having completed a masters in May of 2008 (also at UMass).  In addition to taking courses, I work as a research assistant in the Antennas and Propagation group (APLAB), performing research under the guidance of Professors Dan Schaubert and Marinos Vouvakis.  My research focus for my masters was on microstrip antennas and developing designs that enhance various performance parameters, such as bandwidth, gain and polarization purity, while miniaturizing the size of the structure.  Currently I am working on the development of modular wideband antenna arrays, and I am also interested in electromagnetic field theory and it's applications to wave propagation in both it's analytic and computational forms.
