Performances in the Spring 2007 concert season

• Friday, Jan. 12, 2007, 8:00 pm: Arcadia Players presents Music Ho! English Madrigals and Lute Songs. Works by Morley, Dowland, Campion, Weelkes and others. • Sunday, Feb. 11, 2007, 3:00 pm: Baritone soloist in Fauré's La bonne chanson with string quintet and piano, on Winter Light, an afternoon with Gabriel Fauré, the second concert in the Chamber Music at Wistariahurst 2006-2007 series. Program also includes Une chatelaine a son tour for harp, Madrigal and Le Cantique de Jean Racine for chorus, and other vocal and instrumental works. Other performers include mezzo-soprano Jane Hanson, bass-baritone David S. • Sunday, Apr. 1, 2007, 3:00 pm: The vocal ensemble Cantabile, in which I sing bass, presents a program of works by Salomone Rossi, an Italian Jewish composer of the late Renaissance and early Baroque. Program includes Italian madrigals and canzonets, psalm settings in Hebrew, and guest instrumentalists playing sonatas. Jewish Community of Amherst. Admission by donation.
