QFS98 -- Post Conference Financial Assistance:

We were able to offer financial assistance to most participants who requested it, although we were not able to meet all requests fully. We have held back a modest reserve to deal with unexpected conference costs. We are now in the process of determining the actual cost of running the QFS98 meeting. It will take several weeks to collect all of the billing information and determine how much of our financial reserve will remain. We continue to expect to be able to make additional grants of aid.

Those promised aid - We will distribute financial aid for partial travel reimbursement to all those to whom we gave an e-mail promise to do so. We will provide the amounts previously pledged. We will do this in the near future, even before the full determination of conference costs has been completed. We have distributed some of this aid already.

Those we told we would try to help - We will be in touch with people we told we would try to help (but could not guarantee) as soon as we have the final conference budget in view. Please be patient as we do this. We will attempt to contact all participants who were told that we would try to provide post-conference aid.
