QFS98 -ABSTRACT AND MANUSCRIPT SUBMISSION:

For submission of abstracts, please use the LaTeX template provided in the e-mail notice which was distributed on February 12, 1998. This template should be used both for contributed papers and invited papers. These abstracts will be printed in the booklet which will be available at the beginning of QFS98.
If you need a copy of the abstract template, please send an e-mail message to qfs98@oitvms.oit.umass.edu and include the words 'request abstract template' in the subject line.

Submit the abstract as the text of an e-mail message (not an attached file) to qfs98@oitvms.oit.umass.edu. The subject of the message should be 'ABSTRACT' followed by the last name of the first author. Note that this abstract will be printed in the conference booklet and it should be close to, but not neccessarily identical to the one to be submitted with the paper. The deadline for abstract submission is April 10, 1998.

Post-deadline abstracts: Abstracts received after April 12, 1998 will be considered post-deadline, and will be considered on an individual basis. We will make every effort to merge accepted post-deadline abstracts smoothly into the conference, but will mark them as post-deadline.

Invited Speakers: Invited speakers should also submit abstracts which describe their talk. We would appreciate it if these abstracts would also reach us by the deadline of April 10, 1998, but for invited speakers only we will accept such abstracts until April 17, 1998.

Manuscripts will need to be submitted according to Journal of Low Temperature Physics camera-ready format (6 pages). See the JLTP web site for manuscript preparation guidlines and templates. Manuscripts: on paper, one camera-ready original (so marked) plus three copies are due June 1, 1998, by regular mail. Either standard A4 or 8 1/2 x 11 inch paper size is acceptable. Also include an unattached cover page which indicates the name, e-mail address, and phone number of the author who should be contacted if we have questions about your manuscript, and to whom we should give the referee report(s) at the end of the conference. We also request that you indicate in your cover page the names of three people (who are likely to attend the conference) who might be suitable referees. Authors who wish to include the copyright agreement form at this stage are free to do so. The copyright form is available. Those who do not include it at this stage will receive the form at the conference when referee remarks are returned to authors. The mailing address for manuscripts is QFS98 - Manuscript, c/o Prof. Robert B. Hallock, Department of Physics and Astronomy, Hasbrouck Laboratory, North Pleasant Street, University of Massachusetts, Amherst, MA, 01003, USA.

Revised manuscripts: Manuscripts will be reviewed at the conference with comments returned to the designated authors by the end of the conference. The final version of manuscripts which are intended to be published in the Journal of Low Temperature Physics must be returned to the mailing address above so as to arrive no later then August 1, 1998. The final verson of the manuscript must be accompanied by a signed copyright agreement. The copyright form for this is available and a form will be provided when manuscripts are returned to authors during the conference.

Invited Speakers: The same rules apply to manuscripts submitted to accompany invited talks except the page limit for invited speakers is ten pages (10 pages, camera ready).
