3d. Model DigitalāAge Work and Learning
Teachers exhibit knowledge, skills, and work processes representative of an innovative
professional in a global and digital society. Specifically, teachers model and facilitate effective use of current and emerging digital tools to locate, analyze, evaluate, and use information resources to support research and learning.
REFLECTIONS ON NETS-T-3d:
The preparation of this “Relational Reflective Digital Portfolio” (R-RDP) Report is offered as evidence that I can “model and facilitate effective use of current and emerging digital tools to locate, evaluate, and use information resources to support research and learning” as NETS-T-3d details. The schemata for preparing the relational aspect of this “portfolio” had to be adapted from a schemata developed by researchers at Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana. Being able to locate this information source required expert web searching skills. Being able to interpret the blogging techniques used in this portfolio model required expertise in the use of current and emerging technologies. Being able to find evidence for each of the NETS-T categories should be conclusive evidence that I “exhibit knowledge, skills, and work processes representative of an innovative professional in a global and digital society.” Click here to see my adaptation of the Ball State R-RDP Model for portfolio development. This adaptation of the Ball State schemata was used in the preparation of this 2010 Sabbatical Leave Report.
