WebQuest (Example)

Webquests are valuable instructional tools because they take lessons that traditionally have been teacher-centerd, presentation-oriented pedagogical strategies and turn them into student-centered digitally-enriched learning experiences suitable for facilitating higher-order thinking and creative problem solving for all in the learning community. Teachers as facilitators can no longer claim the title “sage on the stage.” Tthey must work to maintain the title and role of “guide on the side.”
