The UMass Baseball Club was established in the 2003 Fall Semester by Andrew Wilson.  The UMass Baseball Club is a Registered Student Organization (RSO).  The Club provides students an opportunity to play competitive intercollegiate baseball.  The Baseball Club runs tryouts in the beginning of September, with games and practices beginning immediately thereafter.   The team competes in the North Atlantic North Division of the National Club Baseball Association, facing the likes of UConn, Cornell, Syracuse, SUNY-Albany, and SUNY-Cortland. The team also plays a competitive non-conference schedule of games. In the Fall 2004 semester, the UMass Baseball Club joined the Athletic Department's Sport Club Program, making it the fastest club ever to be granted entry to the program. The Baseball Club also joined the National Club Baseball Association (NCBA) during the 2004-2005 season.
