Dissertation work: Ian's dissertation project used magnetic resonance spectroscopy to study changes in skeletal muscle energetics with old age.
Previous Research Projects: Master's research involved examining age-related differences in the magnitude and mechanisms of muscle fatigue during isometric and dynamic contractions. Additional work involved examining torque-velocity relationships in the ankle dorsiflexors and knee extensors in young and old humans.
