I am currently a doctoral student at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst studying under Dr. Kyle Cave in the Visual Cognition and Attention Lab.  I have also conducted projects with Dr. Keith Rayner in the Eye Tracking Lab and Dr. Jill de Villiers at Smith College.   I am interested in both basic and applied cognition, and my primary line of research involves investigating and understanding the cognitive processes underlying visual attention through methods of eye tracking.

During my tenure as a graduate student, I developed a passion for teaching at the college level, and have pursued opportunities to teach a variety of different courses.  In the past several years I taught courses at both Smith College and the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, including introductory psychology, cognitive psychology, research methods, and a topical writing seminar.

I am currently teaching Psychology 240: Statistics in Psychology through the University of Massachusetts' department of continuing education online, and am completing my doctoral research project on visual search for multiple targets.
