Hi, I'm Mithun, a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Department of Polymer Science and Engineering , University of Massachusetts, Amherst, working with the Polymer Theory Group of Prof. M. Muthukumar.
My research interests are in Statistical Mechanics and Soft Condensed Matter physics, with specific focus on the physics of biologocal systems. For a more detailed description of my research please see my research page.
I completed my Ph.D. in Theoretical Physics from the Institute of Mathematical Sciences, Chennai on the Statistical Mechanics of Pressurized Two-dimensional polymer rings. My thesis advisors were Dr. Gautam I. Menon and Dr. Rajesh Ravindran.
