University of Massachusetts Amherst - Psychology - Dr. Lisa S. Scott

The Brain Cognition and Development Laboratory conducts research in an ongoing effort to further our understanding about how the brain develops and how cognitive and perceptual abilities develop from infancy through adulthood. The research conducted in the BCD lab utilizes behavioral measures, measures of looking time and eye-fixations, and recordings of event-related potentials (ERPs). For more information about specific studies please click on the “current research projects” link below. Our lab is also engaged in collaborations aimed at studying the acquisition of perceptual expertise in adults with members of the Perceptual Expertise Network.
