Shannon Egna
Shannon is currently at Sage Graduate School working towards her masters in childhood education and literacy development. She worked in the Brain, Cognition, and Development Lab from Spring 2008 to Spring 2010 and participated in the UMass Junior Fellows Program during her senior year. She was awarded an Ansin Study Abroad Scholarship for Summer 2009 with which she was able to travel to Denmark and take classes in both psychology and education.

Alexandra Monesson
Lexi graduated with her MA in Psychology in 2009. Her Master's thesis examined the other-race effect and the development of perceptual narrowing.

Joanne Philips
Joanne is currently in the Peace Corps and will be applying to medical school. She enjoys reading poetry, jogging, traveling, and learning about new cultures.

Amanda Lennox
Mandy is a senior undergraduate Psychology major in Commonwealth Honors College
with a concentration in Pre-Medical studies. She began her work in the Brain,
Cognition, and Development lab in the Spring of 2007. This past summer, she
received the Alan L. and Carol S. LeBovidge Undergraduate Research Scholarship
to begin work on her honors thesis. In the future, Mandy plans to apply to medical
school and to travel the world.

Jennifer Villemaire

Jennifer Villemaire was a research assistant in the BCD Lab from January 2006
until May 2009. During the summer of 2008, Jennifer was awarded an internship
by the Baystate-UMass Collaborative Biomedical Research Program which allowed
her to begin her honors thesis earlier. Jennifer completed an independent
honors thesis project which investigated the influence of emotion and race
information on the development of face processing. She graduated with high
honors from the university with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology with
a concentration in Neuroscience. Jennifer is currently working for the Edinburg
Center in Bedford, Massachusetts as a residential counselor in a group home for
females with mental illnesses. In the future, she plans on pursuing a graduate
degree in Clinical or Counseling Psychology.

Jessica Buchinski

2008 Graduate, now in graduate school for physical therapy at UVM.
Jess Buchinski graduated from UMASS in 2008 with a BS in Psychology. She worked in the BCD Lab from January 2007 to May 2008. Currently she is a graduate student at the University of Vermont studying to be a doctor of physical therapy. At UVM she works with Dr. Jesse Jacobs in the Human Motion Analysis Lab. The lab studies balance in patients with Multiple Sclerosis. She lives in Burlington with her boyfriend Sean and dog Harper.
