Most of my current research falls under the umbrella of metaphysics. Lately, I've been particularly interested in questions that arise in ontology. I've spent some time trying to decide whether I should believe in universals or tropes. I've also spent some time trying to decide whether mereology is as ontologically innocent as many philosophers claim it to be. When I'm not thinking about strictly metaphysical questions, I spend a lot of time thinking about questions that arise in the philosophy of religion.

"The aim of philosophy, abstractly formulated, is to understand how things in the broadest possible sense of the term hang together in the broadest possible sense of the term." Wilfrid Sellars, Philosophy and the Scientific Image of Man
