About me... I grew up in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, and then moved on to various adventures.... My Bachelor of Arts was completed at the University of Ottawa, in the Second Language Teaching and Linguistics programs. I also worked as a Parliamentary Page in the Canadian House of Commons. I then received a Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Calgary Faculty of Education... My experience there included an amazing internship with the Aga Khan Foundation in Bangladesh. Eventually I ended up back at the University of Calgary, this time in the Master's Program of the Department of Linguistics. There I had the good fortune to encounter many people who sharpened my interest in linguistics. John Archibald, my thesis advisor, deserves a lot of credit. I've been a student in the PhD program of the Department of Linguistics at the University of Massachusetts Amherst since 2005. |
