About me... I grew up in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, and then completed my Bachelor of Arts at the University of Ottawa, in the Second Language Teaching and Linguistics programs. I also worked as a Parliamentary Page in the Canadian House of Commons. I subsequently received a Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Calgary Faculty of Education... My experience there included an amazing internship with the Aga Khan Foundation in Bangladesh. Eventually I ended up back at the University of Calgary, this time in the Master's Program of the Department of Linguistics. There I had the good fortune to encounter many people who sharpened my interest in linguistics, including my thesis advisor John Archibald. I've been a student in the PhD program of the Department of Linguistics at the University of Massachusetts Amherst since 2005. |
