weightloss
As we reflect on 2007 we can all look forward to 2008. The holidays are over and now we can all look forward to one last holiday of the year which is New Year’s Eve. This night is usually spent with family and friends having fun in various ways. Another tradition of New Years is making a resolution. As I look back on the years I don’t think I ever keep them, but still making a goal still means you acknowledged it right?
Over the years I have made various resolutions including the number one resolution of most people. That is to be healthier or lose weight. Now ever since I have been in college I have gained weight. At first it was just a little which was fine, but once I was in an apartment of my own forced to cook for myself I didn’t eat as healthy. I’m sure many college students make resolutions to be healthier as college can be a very anti healthy environment. Besides quitting smoking I think being healthier may be close to or is the number one resolution of most people around the world. Weight loss has been a resolution of mine in the past, but I usually end up forgetting about my resolutions after awhile.
The best way to actually attain a healthy lifestyle is to make is part of your daily routine to eat right and exercise, but I don’t usually end up having time. If you are in extreme need to lose weight it would be wise to use a BMR calculator. I think the calculator gives a real sense of the healthy concept behind weight loss. Also good resources are discussion forums, health stores, and more. Learning about weight loss fads and what about each of them work and don’t work is very interesting too, like Atkins.
Back on the subject of resolutions: I’m sure once the New Year approaches I will make a goal to be healthier again, and everyone else will start thinking of things they really want to achieve. But really we have to make realistic resolutions. As for me I will probably have to get a workout buddy to push me because if not I just end up being lazy!
